La lonja de Valencia es uno de los edificios emblemáticos de la ciudad, pieza maestra de la arquitectura civil gótica. Se comenzó a construir en 1483 según el proyecto del maestro Pere Compte. El conjunto está formado por tres cuerpos que, observados desde la plaza del Mercado, comprenderían primero el salón de contratación seguido del torreón central y, a su izquierda, el Consolat del Mar.

The strap of Valencia is one of the emblematic buildings of the city, main piece of the civil Gothic architecture. It was begun to construct in 1483 according to the project of the teacher Pere Compte.
